Social Media Redesign
As part of a small BBC Sport Editorial team I played and important role enhancing BBC Sport’s social media offering. Specifically, I focused on the improved UX and redesign of the social media suite to improve consistency and foster greater use of imagery and video from our Sport Journalists. Our efforts succeeded in driving more traffic back to the BBC Sport website. It was a significant project to reskin and integrate branding for major sporting events - such as The Hundred, Tokyo Olympics, and Euro 2020 - to ensure scalability and reusability.
Following the redesign, I was involved in the implementation of the new BBC design system across the social media templates - where I also looked to see where there were opportunities to add motion in our posts. In fact, our team was the first to release the newly branded social media portfolio - this allowed us to offer support to other BBC Product teams who were aiming to improve their social output.
