Design Concept

Initial inspiration for a look and feel of Behind the Stories brand came from photography contact sheets - but obviously working in a digital video format - not analog, I made sure the visuals made sense. I took the idea of a wall of images - and developed it further thinking about time codes which took on the significance of the timed of the Passing of Queen Elizabeth II. Using a bokeh effect over the duration of the titles, it gave added texture and depth.

When it came to adding images for each of the title sequences - I wanted to introduce the idea that the interview is not just about ‘the event’ but by interjecting the frames with images of the interview itself - the audience see how personal and expressive these films are.
